Make Your Home “Inspection Friendly”
- qMake sure all interior and exterior light fixtures work. Replace burnt out bulbs.
- qProvide access to the furnace, water heather, crawlspace, and electrical panel
- qInstall a new air filter
- qEnsure that windows operate smoothly
- qReplace all damaged window screens
- qTighten all doorknobs and tighten or repair all handrails
- qClear the way to the attic access panel or pull-down, especially in a closet
- qBe sure there is a minimum of one smoke detector per floor
- qRemove window security screws, or provide keys for window security locks
- qProvide keys or unlock sheds and out-buildings
- qAdjust the downward pressure of the automatic garage door opener
- qGather all documentation on appliances and recent upgrades
- qLabel outlets that are controlled by a wall switch
